after pressing any key you need to select the partition in which windows 7 is installed...by this way you can open windows 7....and by default if you will no press key in that 2 seconds it will automatically start mac os x....

thats the thing... it doesnt reboots to mac...
by default it boots to win 7 and no such timing comes it just boots to 7 as if no mac is inctalled...
but when i run the intsaller again in d disk utility it shows that the mac is installed...
i have tried with 10.6
and again with 10.6.2.... Same things occur...

I Think their is some problem in your laptop...then...as i have installed many times and many time... i think 50 times but ....to me it never comes an error like you....so may be their may be some error in laptop...i can think so...
Anyways try it another way ....
First Format your laptop...Then install Windows 7 and then after installing windows 7 you installed mac...i think you will not get error again...thank
