I am trying to install Mac with iBoot + Retail DVD method,
On chameleon prompt, when I directly click on Mac Install DVD, Apple logo comes and later a STOP sign appears. But when I use flags, for safe mode, I am getting Still waiting for root device error. [have set SATA to AHCI]
I have tried following flags, in vain
-v
-v -f
-v -x
-v busratio=12 PCIRootUID=1
-v -x busratio=12 PCIRootUID=1
Laptop config :
Dell XPS L501x

Using iATKOS S3 v2 I've tried all the flags as well and here's what I get. Please help. This is on a Fujitsu B Series with 1.8 Pentium M running 1gb of ram.
From path: "uuuid",

Try disabling USB Legacy Support on your BIOS. If that didn't work put your installation on an 8 GB USB stick and boot using it.

Thanks for the quick response. Disabling USB Legacy Support didn't help and on this laptop there isn't an option to boot from a USB Stick. Is there anything else I can try?

Well then you have to get a bit technical. Still waiting for root device error means that the program can't find hardware. Check your bios and make sure that your Primary Master is set to the DVD reader, and that your Secondary Master is your first HDD. Like this example (Your setup could be different tho):
Primary Master: TSSTCorp-Bla bla bla DVDROM
Primary Slave: None (maybe if you had another dvd reader it could be there)
Secondary Master: WDC-Bla bla bla blaHDD
Secondary Slave: None (or your 2nd HDD)
And make sure you have AHCI enabled. If your setup has different values, you'll have to change/tinker with IDE/SATA ports inside. Let someone experienced do that for you or you'll fry your computer.
My Setup
- - - Lenovo M57e 9349-CTO Desktop - - -
Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 3GHz, 6 MB LCache
3 GB RAM
ATI Radeon HD 4350 (Full QE/CI on both installations)
17" Lenovo ThinkVision LCD Display (VGA)
Intel G31 ICH7 MoBo with Marvell Yukon Ethernet adapter and Intel High Definition Audio Controller
WDC 160 GB HDD
Running Mac OS X 10.6.2 on Macintosh HD and OS X Lion on OS X Lion
