I'm booting with EFI 1.08.

After changing the DVD, it will work some seconds. Then I get this error message.

Still waiting for root device

Mainboard: ASUS P5Q pro
Processor: Intel Core2 Quad Q9400
Speed: 2666

What can I do?

So, are you trying to load retail DVD ?
Have you set acpi enable in your bios?
Try boot with -x32, maybe?
By efi do you mean a boot cd?

Edit: still waiting root ... Mean your sata/ata controller is not yet recognize , if you using bootcd you may want customize the kext in
preboot.dmg or use bootable USB with retail installer in it.
