Well first at all - im a complete newbie at OSx.
I've been strugglin' around for a couple of days to get OSx86 working on my PC. Unfortunatelly all failed so I downloaded the Snow Leopard Client server .ISO I tried to install this so I used the -v command, this also gave me the well known 'Waiting for root device' error while everything should work just fine.

Did some research and did the same as all the others, I've got an IDE DVD-Player and an IDE HD, but yet it wont work, these are my specs.

Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU E7300 @ 2.66GHz (2 CPUs), ~4.4GHz
Memory: GEIL 2GB PC2-6400 CL5-5-5 DDR2-800
Hard Drive: Maxtor 125GB 6L120P0 ATA Device
Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce XFX250 1024MB
Monitor: Samsung SyncMaster 2223NW (22 Inch)
Mouse: ROCCAT Kone Mouse
Mouse Surface: ROCCAT Sota
Operating System: Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit (6.1, Build 7600) (7600.win7_gdr.090722-1835)
Motherboard: Asus P5N-MX
Computer Case: Antec Nine Hundred

Just managed to get it into the install wizzard however it doesnt recognize any HD's.

What I did was - Unplugged the IDE cable of the DVD player and used the BENQ USB DVD PLAYER.

Think there's something wrong when i use 2 devices on 1 cable :/

in the install portion you have to open "disk utility" and format the partition to HFS before the installer will see a drive...

Like I said,the disk utility doesnt recognize my HD, how am I supposed to format it? I know i have to format it to HFS.

Is it even possible to use a USB DVD player device to install OSx86 on a IDE HD device as it does recognize my USB HD?
