I guess so too, but I read somewhere some Vaio models had trouble because of other display hardware.
I read on a Dutch site that somebody was able to get it installed and have a 1280x something resolution.
I also read about people not succeeding.

I have not been able to find any details, so I am really looking for that.
It is not in any HCL at the moment, so anyone, please post your findings.
I will if I have one.

    hi Razzia,

Have you tried the hazard SL install or EFI method?
Did you succeed, or encounter any problems?

There are guides available for similar hardware. You just need to review them for help.

    Default No installation's begin

    Hi!
I've also a Sony Vaio VPCF11M1E/H, very similar to iben12's vaio, but no luck with start install of the OS.

    My tests:
    - Test with EFI empire and OS 10.6.3 DVD retail: system reboot.
    - Test with tonymacx86 iboot and OS DVD retail: grey screen with the appl. appears, but after reboot.

Can everybody suggest another metodes to test and help to begin the installation in this vaio, please?

Tell me if somebody needs more info about this.
    Thanks.
    (Sorry about my english.)

You guys should start posting your system specs for specific system installation and boot option.

Chameleon + Vanilla 10.6.3+ will work fine.

If you have an intel Mac laptop (or a friend with one), you can swap the HD in and install it that way, and then use a chameleon usb key or CD to get it up, and then install chameleon from there on out.....

Or you can use the Hazaard Distro and once installed, update to 10.6.3
(You need to use cpus=8, busratio=12 in Chameleon if you're using a version lower than 10.6.3, and you'll need Hazaard for that as well).

    10.6.3+ runs fine vanilla.

The GT330m driver works, but only supports external monitors. Full QE/CI too, which makes it even more infuriating lol. To date, nobody has figured out how to get the internal LCD to work.

The onboard ethernet and wifi do NOT work if you have the Atheros card. Bluetooth works

You'll need VoodooPS2 or something of the sort (ApplePS2?) to get the trackpad and keyboard working. Please don't ask me how, I can't remember right now. (The hazaard distro has the right ones).

The VoodooHDA kext will also work for onboard sound if you goof around with it enough, but it's finicky and crashy until you do.

Sleep and "About this Mac" do NOT work.

    thank you ratvn and ootlink!

Finally I have installed OS with "tonymacx86 iBoot_supported" in "-x -v" mode, with external LCD via HDMI, external keyboard and external mouse.
Now the laptop is as you say: internal LCD no works, keyboard and trackball no works, lan and wifi no works, bluetooth and "firewire" lan works.
    I'll keep trying ;-)

For kb/mouse, try VoodooPS2controller.pkg version 0.98. Make sure to follow installation instruction.

Also, what methods have you used to install kext for your 330M?
