Hey guys firstly just want to say thanks for the work and effort put into these hacks.

Just need some help understanding various bits and pieces since I'm new to this whole hackintosh deal.

I have a distro which a downloaded via a torrent (please don't bash me around for this as I have plans to purchase a retail DVD, just want to make sure this will actually work for me first).

The version of the distro is Snow Leopard 10.6.1/10.6.2.

I have a system which is comprised of:

Mobo: ECS Nforce4 4-MA Ver. 3.0 (actually the board says Ver 3.0 but the bios says version 1.21(?))
RAM: 2GB DDR3
CPU: AMD Athlon X2 64 3200+
GPU: Nvidia GeForce 8500GT.

I was just wondering which kexts I am supposed to use, and how to install them.

Any help is obviously greatly appreciated.

Also, if you want to update to 10.6. 7 download the combo update from Mac
you will also need the legacy kernel 10.6.6 and chameleon rc5

what i did was save all these files on a flash drive or a partition that i could access in mac in safe mode

Installed the combo update first...once finished DONT restart
run the legacy kernel 10.6.6...no restart..
ran the chameleon rc5
restarted..worked perfectly

Im not a pro at all this..i just know my way around it a little.
