So many choices?!
Well hello everyone,
I am not going to lie when I say up until last week, I thought it was impossible to run Mac OSX on a PC. Now I love macs, however I am 14, have a job paying minimum wage and it took me about a year to buy my macbook pro. I have 3 PC's in my house and I am interested in putting Hackintosh on one or two of them. I do not know if it is possible for me to do so however. I have a Compaq Presario CQ50-142US. Product Specifications Compaq Presario CQ50-142US Notebook PC - HP technical support (United Kingdom - English)
This is the computer I am most curious about because my mom is the primary user and she hates PC's but wont buy a mac. Also I have a HP Pavilion Slimline s3100n Desktop PC HP Pavilion Slimline s3100n Desktop PC Product Specifications HP Pavilion Slimline s3100n Desktop PC - HP Customer Care (United States - English) This computer pretty much died when I tried upgrading to Windows 7 and then wouldn't let me put any form of windows on it, right now it is running Ubuntu and I hate it with a passion. If somebody could send me a link for the EXACT install method I need to use on one (or both) of these, I would greatly appreciate it. I am not computer retarded, this is just new to me.
Thanks in advance!

Pretty sure the Slimline won't work. Not sure what motherboard the Compaq has, so it's hard to say.

You're lucky and still have a job as I don't.
The exact installation method is hard to find if you're not lucky enough.
Your slimline may have little trouble with its chipsets and SATA controller if it's the NV nForce MCP61/67 series.
Download CPU-Z and take a look at the specs, relevant to OSX installation.
