Default SnowOSX vs Retail Snow Leopard installation

wondering if anyone can help me decide.

are there any advantages or disadvantages in installing either SnowOSX (like iAtkios, Ideneb, Kalyway....) or Retail Snow Leopard (with a USB thumb drive and a pre-existing working Leopard OS)? for e.g. do both ways allow updates without issues? does one method has better driver (kexts) supports for hardwares than the other? is one method more stable than the other? is one method much simpler than the other?.......etc!

Please get back to me because I am very interested to find out before I decide.

    thank you.

    Default ?

    I'm curious about this too.
I've been using non-retail versions lately but I'm getting the idea that maybe I could just use a retail and just download what I need for my computer in general. Things to help me boot, kext, and so on.
