SnowLeopard on HP NX9420 laptop
I've followed the guide at How to Build a Hackintosh with Snow Leopard, Start to Finish - Hackintosh - Lifehacker Created the USB drive according to instructions because I was curious how far I would get with it on my hardware setup, which is comletely different from the recommended hardware in the guide but I figured I could use it as a starting point and perhaps get a working system with some tweaks.
Below are the computers I tried to boot with
HP NX9420 laptop
Intel Mobile 945PM Express Chipset
Core 2 Duo T7200 4 MB cache Intel Centrino Duo
ATI Mobility Radeon X1600 graphics adapter
4 GB DDR II SDRAM - 667MHz - PC2-5300
Dell Precision T5400
Intel 5400 Chipset
NVIDIA Quadro FX570 graphics adapter.
I get the same error message at boot, I took a picture of it, it's attached this post or or below link:
I assume the relevant part in this error message is the part about AppleACPIPlatform.
Any ideas or suggestions is appreciated.
With both did you check if there support for the video card?
HP Pavilion Elite m9250f
Snow Leopard 10.6.6, Asus IPIBL-LB MOD BIOS, Intel Quad Core Q6600, 4GB RAM (800mhz), 2x500GB, nVidia 8600GT (Works), ALC888S (Works), Wireless RT73 (Works), LAN (Works) - How to Install

Anyone seen this error message before? Think I can avoid it with the editing or adding of kext-files or something?
You could install Leopard on HP Nx9420?
I have same model (Core 2 duo @ 1.8Ghz), but after I finished installation and I reboot, the system stopped with the error "Still waiting for root device".
Probably need some driver but i don't know what.
I try'it with iPC 10.5.6 latest version with drivers for video and wireless.
Can you give me some indication?
