Same settings, with some minor changes due to overclock. You have that too, so that shouldn't be a problem.

It seems to be a problem with either my IDE DVD drive or the burned retail Snow Leo. When I insert the disk it just keeps trying to load it. I have made it to the first install screen 2 out of 50 times... Frustrating.

Seems like I get EBIOS errors when I insert the DVD after some time.

Didn't know this should be so troublesome.

I've burned the SL retail disc with Transmac. Any other suggestions regarding the best way to burn this baby? I don't have a MAC accesible...

Maybe I'll buy a SATA burner tomorrow.

I have the same mobo , and I was supposed to sell it to get a gigabyte to assemble my PC-Mac. Finally I get your post and "da-da!!!" with surprise I realized my mobo was compatiple with SL. So I have some questions:

    1) What did you use to enable sound?
    2) Do you have a patched DSDT? (in case can you post it?)
    3) I have a Nvidia 7600 GS , Snow Leopard NVEnabler is enough to enable it?

Hope you can reply my post

    Thanx

    :update:

I've finally had enough with the retail method, and downloaded the iatkos v7 just to see if I was able to get Leopard into my system. After some changes (vanilla kernel was a no go, so had to choose voodoo 9.5) I got it installed. So, it seems like it's my burn of the retail dvd which is faulty. Will now try to make a USB stick installer, from within my Leopard install, to see if that works any better.

    Wish me luck

    Hey
I use VoodooHDA64bit.kext for sound, works perfectly with 5.1 surround sound

i havent changed the dsdt. i don't know if the post installation applications i used - ihack installer, changed anything.
And the graphics card should work fine if not, use EFI strings with OSX86tools

I can install SL only using Rebel Efi with Empire 1.08 no success.
I think I should use Empire Efi 1.0 but I do not have it.
Anyway thank you for your reply.

The remaining problem is the GC. I have a 7600 GS 512 mega and I need to flash the rom to make it works.
So I'm waiting for a new 9800 GT

    Thanks a lot MB94
