Hello everybody I am really interested in installing Snow Leopard on my new notebook. I just bought a Asus K53SV, it has a Intel Core i7 2630 processor, 4gb RAM, nVidia Geforce GT540M with 1gb, 320gb hard drive, but i don't know anything about specifications concerning the wifi card or the optical drive.

So, coming to the reason why I decided to ask you help, would my computer support Snow Leopard? Could anybody help me finding missing specifications?

I already installed Hazard 10.6.1 in VirtualBox, but I would like to try a dual-boot with Snow Leopard 10.6.6..please help me and don't oblige me to but that damn Mac

I just put Hazard 10.6.6i image on a DVD and I'm trying to boot it, although it gets stuck in the grey screen witht he apple logo and the cricle rotating..I guess I'll have to reboot verbose (-v) and see what it tells me..am I right? Is there anybody who could help me solving this problem?

Ok I actually only had to wait a couple of minutes..I got straight until the point where it says me which language is the one i wanna use...so I need to know which Kexts I'll have to use to get it working well..as i don't wanna format the whole pc..

Do you refer with K53SV to ASUS K53SV-SX174V or a other variation of ASUS K35SV-serie?

I want to buy the ASUS K53SV-SX174V, so i am curious how the result of the installation are. And what the steps were you went trough. I've never done this before.

Hi, I am italian and I bought my Asus here..there is written K53SV-X53SV and I cannot find information about what the hackintosh will bring me to and, since nobody here seems to be willing to help us and give us opinions about what will work and what won't, i'm giving up my project and going to install SL on my old netbook Samsung NC10..it's a pity beacuse our ASUS has got great specifications and it was worth trying..but not worth risking a format..

I have found info either. At least no info on which functions will work under S.L., nor any other usefull info. So anyone. If you know more about S.L on a Asus K53SV of other similar system please reply. For now, it looks to me that the install of other Linux-distro is easier then a Apple OS, at least the support on drivers. But i guess Apple can do as much as the rest, so please react.

I have that same model, david fly, I got a retail instalr of 10.5 but was quite unstable and I dont put to install. wifi & audio not function. Install ubuntu till now that you can find some kext support .- If you know anything about the subject, any news, please publish it in this post. thanks
