Snow Leopard on AMD Sempron 3000+
Anyone know if it is possible? I have an intel hackintosh. I know plenty about hackintoshing, just not AMD. But what all do I have to do with AMD? I've seen kernels that look like they work OOB, but then I've also seen stuff with all this patching.
What do I need to know about AMD? And will that CPU work?

as whell all we know, semprons are not soo fast, than you can get a slow hack.
you must to post your computer config here,
i would try iatkos

Considering I have leopard on a p4 without sse3, I think SL would be bearable on a sempron. And I don't need help with the whole computer. My motherboard is an Asus A8AE-LE (AmberineM). My cpu is a sempron 3000+. What must I do for the amd? I need a kernel for it? And then patching files? Or..

you just need, a hacked kernel, the same that you use in your p4 and decrypt kext

I know that's not all. I also saw something about patching dylib's or something like that. what else is required?

you can use marvin amd utility , but when you download legacy_kernel.pkg, and install, you don't need that, because it already come with patchs and automaticaly do it for you
my hack is an AMD too

Alright. Where should I get the legacy kernel package? Nawcom? Or... And then does everything work for you? And what OSX version do you have?

nawcom is good, now, i'm using 10.6.6 that is very stable for me, the other one very stable was 10.6.4 i didn't try 10.6.7 yet but i'm going to update, i prefer pair versions

Alright Cool. thanks. So basically. I need to install OSX, and then the kexts and stuff for my specific hardware. And then just download the nawcom legacy kernel for my OSX version? And what do you mean you like pair versions?
And then also, how do I make sure my motherboard will work?

you don't need the kext decrypt, only fakesmc and nullcpupowermanagement, yes exeacly like you said, download to your version,
my motherboard have nforcechipset, there is 2 problems, i need to disable legacy suport for usb (on bios) and i can't use sata cdrom.
i use the following kexts
applenforceata.kext
nforcelan.kext
nullcpupowermanagement.kext
fakesmc.kext
voodoohda.kext
you can make sure by your chipset
pair versions are more stable for me
