Default SL install on Asus X55 SV (PM965 chipset)

    Hi everyone!

I would like to install Snow Leopard on my computer, but everything I’ve tried has failed.
I have successfully created a bootable USB pen drive, that boots on some computers, but not on mine. I have also tried several other distros of Leopard, such as iAtkos, iDeneb, iPC, Kalyway, … with no success whatsoever. My bios is crap too.

    I have a:

    ASUS X55 SV
    Intel Crestline-PM PM965 chipset (problematic?)
    Intel Core2 Duo T7250 @2.00 GHz
    3 GB DDR2 SDRAM @ 667 MHz
    nVidia GeForce 9500M GS
    250GB Hard Drive

    Any help would be appreciated.

guess you should try another chipset kext (AppleIntelPIIXATA)
if it is snow osx, try use pci v10.6 boot file and keep snow osx default kernel (mach kernel).just change the kext. boot with -x32 -f -s. if you got prompt,
you are knocking the apple door....

try also set acpi enable and sata to ahci and pci to ide on your bios...

    Thanks for replying bootzer0.

So you're saying I should boot with pci v10.6 boot dvd and load my pen drive.
I know how to make a bootable pen drive but not how to replace kexts in it.
    How can i do that?
And where should I get the Kexts? (google?)

I guess bootzer0 think that you are already install osx but can't boot it.
If you try to install snow osx, you need to boot Osx DVD with empireefi cd.
Google it , you will find a lot info to install snow on your pc.
