SL & GTX 285 - Working, but not.
First of all, my specs: I've got Snow Leopard 10.6.2 (vanilla) working NEAR perfectly (using the myHack installer, http://osx86.sojugarden.com/installer/)(specifically myHack_Installer_1.0_RC5_r87), booting via Chameleon (from myHack)
Hardware: i7 on a EX58-UD5 with Nvidia GTX 285.
'Extra' kexts: VoodooHDA, SleepEnabler, FakeSMC, ExOreboot, IONetwrokingFamily, Platform UUID, LegacyAppleRTC, NullCPUPowerManagement
As this is almost certainly a graphics driver issue, I'll also share that in my system/extensions there seem to be several nvidia graphics drivers (NVDAResman, NVDANV50Hal, NVDANV40Hal, GeForce, GeForceVADriver.bundle, GeForce8xxxGLDriver.bundle, GeForce7xxxGLDriver.bundle, GeForceGA.plugin)
SO, now the problem!;
If I shutdown properly (from within SL) the next boot will fail, but if I force-shut-down (hold down power button, say after a failed boot), then it will boot 100% fine.
I know its booting when it 'fails', but the screen is cutting out (indicating graphics issue), so what I've been doing is using keyboard commands to close all apps/windows that could have opened (command+Q/W) and then log out (Command+Shift+Q, Return), and then force shutdown (holding power button), after this it boots fine.
EDIT: when it does boot, graphics are working 100% (GL, QE, CI)
ANY IDEAS HOW TO FIX THIS?
THANK YOU (-;
EDIT: Moved from 'Using Snow Leopard' forum

Its been months and I still havent found a working fix.
Thanks in advance!
It almost sounds like video related problem, particularly incorrect kext?
Have you searched for another kext for your video card?
