Real Noob needs advice
Hi all
I really like the Mac OS. I would love to put it onto my current PC but i haven't a clue where to start!!
I currently own an AMD Quad CPU with Asus AM3 MOBO and 4gig ram etc
I have looked at some guides but seems a bit confusing to me.
I am after a straight forward way of installing Mac OS onto my pc in a dual boot with Win 7.
Obviously i would need to buy Snow Leopard first?
Any help would be awesome. Thanks

Give one of the distros ( iDeneb, iAtkos, etc) a try first. It will give you sort of a idea. You will need to know what chipset, wifi and other specs. Then make sure you select the files/kexts for your hardware in the customization section. Do some reading around, at first it looks like another language but eventually it will set in. Good Luck
DV1300 - iDeneb 10.5.8
DV4 - iPC 10.5.6-Some bugs.

What is a Distro? Is it like Ubuntu etc where someone has put together a program of Apple Snow Leopard that can be installed on any pc, on a separate Boot? Their version so to say?
If so, which is the best one to try?

Sort of like a linux distro. So far none of them are running 10.6, just 10.5. Give iDeneb or iAtkos a try. There is a lot of distros and some seem to work better for some than others. Good Luck

Many thanks indeed. Downloaded iAtkos. Will try that.
Can i dual boot with Win 7?

It is possible. I would try chameleon or grub. I dont think that Windows Longhorn bootloader is worth the trouble.
