What do you think of this build?
I'm trying to define the components to make a hackintosh system for audio production (Pro Tools mainly). I'd like to get the most compatible system I can while also powerful for audio. It'd be nice to not have to mess around and just boot from the snow leopard dvd.
So, this is what I've been thinking:
Intel Core i7 950 Processor BX80601950 - 3.06GHz, 8MB L3 Cache, 4.8GT/s QPI, HyperThreading, Quad Core, Bloomfield, LGA 1366, Retail, Fan
Intel DX58SO Motherboard - LGA 1366, Intel X58, SATA, CrossFireX Ready, Triple Channel DDR3 support, RAID, Hyperthreading support
Corsair XMS 6144MB PC12800 DDR3 1600MHz (3x2GB) RAM
Western Digital WD1002FAEX Caviar Black Hard Drive - 1TB, 7200RPM, 64MB, SATA 6Gbs
(2nd hdd, for audio)
Western Digital WD10EALS Caviar Blue Hard Drive - 1TB, 7200RPM, 32MB, SATA-3G
EVGA 512-P3-N987-TR GeForce 9800 GT Video Card - 512MB GDDR3, PCI Express 2.0, DVI, HDMI, VGA
Lacie 130820 3 Port Firewire 400 PCI Card (I need a Texas Instruments firewire chipset)
