Sony Vaio VPCF11M1E/H hackintosh compatible?

my Macbook sadly seems to going to die soon... I would like to buy this nice notebook: Sony Vaio VPCF11M1E/H

It has the following hardware inside:

- Geforce GT330M (similiar to GT240) with 1024MB DDR3
- Intel PM55 Express-chipset
- Intel Core i5-520M Processor (dual core)
- PC3-8500 DDR3 4GB Ram


I have no information what wireless module is exactly inside... The PM55 chipset is responsible for usb2, gigabit LAN, audio, sata, e-sata...

The PM55 seems to be a very new chipset.

Do you know if this hardware would run Snow Leopard or Leopard? Are there drivers available for this chipset, the cpu and the Geforce type?

If it is possible, would you try to install Snow Leopard on your Vaio?

I don´t know if nVidia 330m is compatible with Snow, and i´m thinking in buying Snoy Vaio or Dell Latitude E6500 (but there is 350€ of difference).

as the new MBP series came out, it's clear that nvidia gt 330M and core i5 cpu can't be a problem. actually the sony vaio F series are very close to new MBPs regarding hardware.

so any experienced hackitoshers would give some advice how to start? should i post a detailed spec of the notebook so you can tell which method we can use?

so what's next? what method (and distro) would you recommend? as i don't want to invest in a new hdd, my plan is to use just a partition. right now i have a 50GB partition for linux which i could sacrifice for testing purpose. possible?

I'm pretty much wondering the same thing. I've been experimenting with VMware Workstation 7 and got Snow Leopard 10.6.2 running quite smoothly and reliably...so next would be real installation but I'm still wondering about the driver support.

But as posted earlier, I'd expect most devices to work just fine because the hardware is so close to the new MBPs.

you can try OSX86 snow leopard Intel/AMD HAZARD's distro.

i am thinking the same thing.
did anyone get this working?
i read 330m should work with graphicsenables=y.

please post your experiences
