Hi,
Is this one your ION board or another different one?
How did you do with that ION?
Cheers,
Hi ratvn,
This is the same PC. I eventually gave up on trying to modify the ISO as it was too complicated. Would there be an OSx86 release that would be compatible with my set up?
Yes, I know. Those ISO's are rough to modify. There used to be software to do so, but they disappear.
There are methods for Atom 280, but for yours I have to do some research. As long as it is the same board chipsets, then you would have good chances. For most of these, there are usually particular setup/files dedicated for. Do you want me to look around, or maybe later send you some links and you could search for yourself?
My motherboard has the same chipset that came with it when I bought it. Would I be using a modified Snow Leopard retail image or one of the third party releases like iAktos? The other day I tried iAktos v7 Snow Leopard and adjusted my bios to disable hyper threading and AHCI support but when it got to the apple logo to boot the cd it just restarted instantly.
What I mean is if yours in the same family of 280 chipsets. Well, it will be faster for you to look with cpu-z.
I know ideneb 1.6 has a section for 280, but most of these will be easier with dedicated boot/support files/kernel.
Are you looking to install Leopard or SL?
I don't mind, whatever version is compatible with my 330 processor and makes it easier for you to find the right release?
I tried iAktos V7 (SnowLeopard) the other day but got to the boot logo and then the pc restarted. Might give Ideneb a go.
