Problems attempting to install in VirtualBox on Dell XPS 420
Hi there everyone,
I tried to follow this tutorial to install OSX in VirtualBox on my computer and am pretty sure I followed it to a T. Upon starting the machine however, I sure didn't get far.
On startup, I get the following popup:
I choose to continue.
VT-x/AMD-V hardware acceleration has been enabled, but is not operational. Certain guests (e.g. OS/2 and QNX) require this feature.
Please ensure that you have enabled VT-x/AMD-V properly in the BIOS of your host computer.
The window turns grey, an apple pops up in the center and VirtualBox tells me that a critical error has occured while running the machine and that the execution has been stopped.
That's not very far :(.
Like I said, I followed it as closely as I could, so is there a chance I have neglected to select something necessary for the process to run successfully? Unfortunately, it doesn't even run long enough for me to get an error message of any sort, so I don't have anything useful to provide on that front.
Any thoughts or help you might be able to provide would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks for your time,
