OSX and Win 7 on same drive
I have done some reading and it seems that in order to install OSX and Win 7 on the same hard drive, you need to install OSX first, partitioning the drive with 2 partitions, and then install Win7 on the unused partition.
I have made a back up disk image of my current Win 7 hard drive, after I install OSX, what is a good way to restore my Win 7 drive to the new partition I created during the OSX install?
Unfortunately my restore software wants to format the entire hard drive when it restores. I am using the restore software that came with the computer. Is there a better software for backing up my hard drive that is a little more friendly when it comes to restoring? I want to restore my Win 7 install, but to the new partition and not the entire hard drive.
I am trying to avoid installing Win 7 from scratch because I only have the Win 7 disc provided by my computer manufacturer, which will likely want to reformat the drive as well.
A little bit lost in the world of kext's, dsdt's and patches!

I got the impression that I have the same specs as you?
(HP Pavillion) Dv7t 3085dx Core i7 720 QM, Graphic card Nvidia 320m, motherboard P55 etc?
If so, it would be GREAT if I could get some installation instructions after I have booted into Mac OS X!!!
)PS: I am also planning to do an upgrade from 10.5.7 to 10.5.8 Combo - then upgrade to 10.6.0 (or 10.6.3) any notes on that too would be HIGHLY appreciated
