nvidia gt 220 on snow leopard

Hi all,

Recently I have installed snow leo 10.6.1. on my pc, with ep45-ud3 motherboard, a Gt220 card, 1Gb memory, and after normal boot I get a freeze, almost like a screenshot, the system has around 0,0001 fps.

I also have a 7800 GTX card, 256 MB , and with that the system is perfectly fine.

So right now I can only boot in safe mode, otherwise I get stuck after i see the desktop and can't do anything.

Does anyone have any ideas about this issue, did anybody meet problems like I did, anything that could help solve this mistery? :)

Hi, I have the same problem. Funny is that I have 3 similar computers (HP Desktop Pavilion) and it worked as it should, but yesterday one of the stoped at apple logo. I installed Snow 10.6.3 over it and it works in safe mode (-x) flawlessly. If I try normal mode it boots, shows blue desktop and cursor, but then just starts to slowly flash blue desktop color and I can not continue. I can hear Outlook logs in and checks for new mails.

As i wrote, if I boot with -x everything works just fine (QE, CI, resolutions, Systemprofiler shows GT 220 with 1GB Ram - RIGHT info), but normal mode it hangs on blue desktop screen)

Please help!
