Need help with the dell xps630i from H*LL to install SL
Hi everybody, i'm a newbie here...
Need help with the dell xps630i from H*LL to install Snow Leopard.
I have a dual boot xps 420 with win7 and snow universal running...
But my xps 630i is a mystery to me.... can't get it to work.
I tried retail and hazard version but it won't install on the internal harddrive.
Who wants to help me? or has the same problem?
There not really helping on other forums...
Tnx in advance!
NEED HELP with DELL XPS 630i - install Snow Leopard on Internal HD
When I try to get it to install on a internal HD after a installation it says IOUSBfamily has trouble enumarating a usb device that has been plugged in - keep on retrying and then waiting for root device and it does nothing anymore....
I don't have anything plugged in and Snow leopard will install on a external hd.
But I want it internal....
Does not work : Snow_Leopard_Client_Server_10.6.2_SSE2_SSE3_Intel_ AMD_by_Hazard
Home cooked dvd does not work either
all other snow leoperd dvd's that are out on the market dont work on my internal drive

BTW: not talking about this forum, but on insanelymac --- there not really helping out there... there telling me, if i don't know what i'm doing i should stop with trying.
But i allready installed mac on a sony viao with succes and a xps 420, there all dual or multi boot (ubuntu, win7, linux mint, leopard ) ... so it's not that i'm a newbie with mac on pc but this one is error just a hard one to crack... So any help is really appriciated... ;-)
Experience with a XPS 630i from DELL (or H*LL)
I see what you mean, but i still can't find a solution... And i won't quit ;-)
I almost made it, when it skipped the iousbfamily error but i ended up with a kernel panic this time... appleintelcpupowermanager.kext so i removed it, to end up with the same iousbfamily error... (was so close, i thought... LOL i was just going in a circle)
Can't wait to read some more info from you!
BTW: does supernforceata.kext help for me or the superviaata maybe?
Don't know but keeping my options open ;-):pie::spinme
