install on Acer Extensa 5620

Ive been having no luck getting OSx to install on my desktop, so i thought i would try installing it on my laptop that i never use (will probally be easier since its all intel)

i dont have any dual-layer DVDs to burn the disk to and i dont have a 8gig usb drive, but i do have an external USB HDD that i can use... how would i go about putting in install file on the HDD so i can boot from it?


and any other suggestion would be helpful

You just need to restore the image .dmg file and install bootloader to the ext. USB HDD.

ok, is there a way to restore the dmg file without a working copy of osx?

nevermind, i got VMware working well enough on my desktop to do it... will let yall know if i have any more problems
