Dell Studio i3 330M kernel panic
I'm currently getting a kernel panic while using Tonymac iBoot Supported with the 10.4.0 Darwin Kernel and a 10.6 Retail DVD. I can't even get to the install screen. Here is the KP:
com.apple.driver.AppleACPIPlatform (1.3) @0x55414000 -> 0x55454fff
dependency: com.apple.iokit.IOACPIFamily (1.3.0) @ 0x55182000
dependency: com.apple.iokit.IOPCIFamily (2.6) @ 0x55374000
BSD process name corresponding to current thread: kernel_task"
I've tried other versions of iBoot and have gotten even more KPs. Out of curiosity, I added a USB keyboard and mouse (my computer is a laptop by the way), and got the same KP, but the "CPU 0" changed to "CPU 2". Not sure if this is helpful at all. I've used -x and cpus=1 as my options. Does anyone have an idea as to what the problem may be? Should I try removing a stick of RAM to go to less than 4 GB? Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
