hey guys, on opinion and functionality. what is the best netbook to buy that will run 10.6.7 with everything working? i could care less for trying to get lion on there i just want snow to run good since ill be needing to pack a small netbook around for school and windows can kiss off :P
I have an MSI Wind U100 426 set up to dual boot Windows 7/Mac OS X 10.6.6 (I haven't gotten around to upgrading to 10.6.7). Everything works. One problem I had was with the driver for the OEM Ralink WiFi card which did not play well with 10.6. I replaced the card with a Dell 1510 card from eBay and then modified the vendor ID on it so the OS sees it as an Airport Extreme card. Go to InsanelyWind « Netbooks, Tablets, and Phones!. They have a huge amount of information on MSI netbooks including tutorials, kexts, etc. You might even find a netbook for sale with SL already installed. Not all MSI netbook models will run the Mac OS. Check on the insanelywind.com site for more information.
