Default Powerbook G4 update to Leopard 5.6?

I have a problem with my powerbook G4 not going through with the install of Leopard. I am using an external drive because the cd/dvd drive on the powerbook does not read DL disc so I am using am external sony DL reader. It loads the Leopard disc and has me restart, but after the restart it will no longer continue the installation process. Does anyone know what I can do to fix this problem? Thanks in advance for your help.

It looks like you posted in the wrong forum...

As for a resolution, it is probable that you incorrectly chose to use GPT for your partition table when you started your install on your Powerbook. I would recommend that you verify that you are using the Apple Partition Map when you are performing the installation.

If that is not the case, then it is probable that you have a bad restore of your Install DVD to your external hard drive.
