Planing a hackintosh laptop $500-$700 what to buy?
I have been reading to find a good list of current laptops that have 100% working features after installing the hackintosh install. I am able to find info on laptops that are about a year old. However I am not finding anything on current laptops. I am looking to convert a i3 -i5 4gb ram, 360-500 gb hd. 15 inch screen machine act as a macbook pro. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
What current laptop is a good purchase if I plan to run hackintosh?
Thanks in advance for the support.

Hey fhcilitatorm,
Ive been with hackintosh from almost the start. I just Got a new laptop and im getting some help on it as we speak. So to tell you this right now your not going to be able to get a 100% hackintosh maybe a 98% but Not 100% Like im typing this message to you on a Toshiba tecra v9 98% working hackintosh, Everything works EVERYTHING but my screen has about an inch of blurry fun stuff but ive learned to live with it! so to tell you the truth if your going to buy a laptop just for hackintosh I would go build your own to try to get a 100% working one, Trust me everything laptop will have 1 or more thing wrong with it using hackintosh. Like i had to get my internet working i needed to write some code. Because i don't have the time to Google shi* for 3 or more hours. So to tell you the truth don't buy for a hackintosh! Get a laptop that will work for a while that you don't need to buy one next year, So on that note don't I do not recommended getting a HP laptop go with Toshiba or Sony or Asus ( To anwser you question tho, most working hackintosh laptops are Toshiba Tecra's (" version right now of it is the v11 Tecra ") so Toshiba will probably get you the closes to your hackintosh then any other)

I am looking fo rthe same answer. Also planning to buy a i3 or i5 with 15-17" screen for 500 pounds or less.
There doesn't seem to be a comprehensive list anywhere.
If there's code need to do is that going to be in C, C++ or Objective C then I might give it a try if someone can point me to the place what you need to do it?

I just come back from Best Buy and they hinted at getting a Dell for osx after I told them i don't want finance on a mac book pro.
The HCL on 10.6.6 is almost empty for laptops on osx86project wiki and this BuyHackintoshes.com - Hackintosh / OS X Compatible Netbooks and Laptops is very old laptops.
Now I am thinking of getting a Dell Inspiron 17R or any new Sony Vaio. I would like to dual boot Windows 7 and OSX. Any help appreciated. Video audio speedstep touchpad hdmi-out blu-ray usb 3.0 and wifi should still work on OSX. Not bothered with LAN Camera or microphone.
fhcilitator what did you end up buying?
