partitioning problems trying to quad boot
Hey guys, I'm trying to quad boot my Lenovo Y550P laptop.
To start, the hardware is as follows:
Intel Core i7 720QM CPU
4GB DDR3 Memory
NVIDIA GeForce GT 240M
and a single 500gb hard drive.
I just bought Snow Leopard 10.6.3. I successfully used EmpireEFI to boot and install OS X. iBoot didn't work.
i also used MultiBeast to get it to boot directly to the OS, so i wouldnt need to use the empire cd everytime.
What i want to do though is quad boot with XP, win7, osx, and ubuntu. I've been reading up on EasyBCD, i would use that to edit the windows 7 bootloader to include xp, 7, osx, and ubuntu right?
my problem though is getting all this partitioned. i had XP and 7 installed, then when i went to install os x, it wouldnt let me because the hdd was MBR, not GUID. it wouldnt let me change it. i had to format the entire drive, erasing windows xp and 7, and then set it to GUID. mac installed, but then windows wouldnt becuase it wasnt on MBR. how can i set the windows for MBR and just the mac for GUID?
i cant seem to do that from the mac installation, nor Gparted.
any help as far as this goes, would be appreciated! im searching google and other forums in the meantime.
