Which one for my Laptop
Hi there, I'm running iAtkos i5 now on this laptop, but it has no sound and the graphic card wasn't recognised.
Now I want to install 10.6.X(Don't care which subversion)
But which one will work the best?
I have:
Processor: Intel® Core(TM)2 Duo CPU P7350 @
Video: ATi Radeon X3400(I think...Mac can't seem to notice him, so I'm not sure anymore)
Sound: I don't know, Mac can't see which one it is...
It's a laptop from Packard Bell, and I saw some things like Easynote
The Packard Bell model name is Vesuvio GM.
And some other model name is KMG00(This name is at the same label as the serial number and product number?)
I hope someone can help me :-)
EDIT:
I forgot, I tried iAtkos S3 V2 but then I get some "system uptime in nanoseconds error"
And before that I got the Chameleon error saying something with EFI strings?
It was on the disc boot, and I tried a different download, and got the same error.

Your guys should include more info.
System uptime is about the last line of a KP, and wouldn't provide much clue as what happened other than kernel crash/panic.
Your chipsets info, BIOS setup, boot options used, whether it's booting to installation or at first reboot afterward and other lines related to what involved with the KP as there are hundred of them and you guys don't want people doing some guessing really.

1. Clear the partition for a clean install every time.
2. Use minimal install to minimize chance of KP's. No video, audio, network etc.
3. Select only the essentials, kernel vanilla or qoopz/anavirth, chameleon RC4, chipsets ICHx and some other fixes if needed.
You can always go back and add more to it once getting into OSX desktop.
4. Use some boot option -x -v cpus=1 (and busratio=20 if needed).

I'd actually like to know how to install the drivers after a successful minimal install as well.
I get it up and running on my gateway laptop T6345u but sometimes the audio doesn't work, and the graphics stay in shitty 1024x768 mode. also wireless doesn't work.
I am using iAtkos S3 V2 but am going to try Hazzards today on my Shuttle SG33G5, which won't even recognize the iAtkos disc.

Your bare install is actually not minimal after all, as you're only missing several device kexts/drivers. Consider that there are many "full" installation being left without full audio, video, network etc. functionalities due to kext/driver unavailabilities.
As for those devices, you would need to know model number/ID to look for correct/working kexts. Kext installers would be needed for proper installation.
