    Default Again...

    ...Yesterday I did the same...

I Opened my dell mini (1010) bios A11, and extract de HD (Sansumg 160)...

Connected it by USB, and installed Snow Leopard by USB...

Was very nice, but, when I put it again inside, gray screen, apple, wheels and the no system symbol.

I will try another HD, and after this, I will try downgrade to A04 bios...

All those Mini Dell working in the web , are the 1010v, different from mine, and with a A06 bios...

Other problem I found, is that the sound card, isn't working...

I hope that this info can help.

    Default Try this

My friend and I were having the same problem so we decided to start from scratch. It turns out that there were some bios settings that had to be changed. Just for the record, it's not a problem with Western Digital because that's what we're using. Check these settings and see if they match yours. Look at image number 7.

Hackintosh BIOS Gallery - Hackintosh - Lifehacker

We built his machine using the exact same specs as this - How to Build a Hackintosh with Snow Leopard, Start to Finish - Hackintosh - Lifehacker

Turned out to be around $650 - $700 in all. Hope this solves your problem.

    Default Bios settings

I found a solution that worked for me.

    1. Make sure your Hard Drive is connected to SATA nr. 1

Next Step depends on your BIOS Type and Version:

Option 1. Go to "Intergrated Peripherals" -> Set "SATA RAID/AHCI mode" to "AHCI" (the options are usually: RAID, AHCI and Disabled)

Option 2. Go to "Intergrated Peripherals" -> "On-Chip ATA Devices" -> "RAID Mode" -> Select "AHCI"

I hope this solves your problems too.

I'm having the exact same issue... but I'm not sure how to access the CMOS utility on BIOS version A03 (I am a noob). I can get into DOS but that is a bit of a dead end (for me), I'm not sure how to access my BIOS settings either other than simply enabling/disabling USB BIOS Legacy Support... can someone please help me, I would like to try to adjust my S-ATA settings as suggested above. Should I maybe update my BIOS to A04? I have read that that can be risky though, and A03 is supposed to work just fine when hackintoshin. HELLLLLP MEEEEEEEEE

After looking at the guide that was referenced by the OP there were a couple of things I found different from when I built my Hackintosh desktop. One thing was the formatting of the USB drive, in almost all installations I have read it calls for Mac OS X extended with GUID (GPT) partition scheme, whereas the guide says to use MBR. I found a newer installation guide referenced from the site of the guy that makes the Netbookinstaller, link is here (I suggest you give it a try):
