    You can just drop it into Utility or desktop (after decompress it, or whatever format it was, zip?) and then double click on it and drag/drop your kext into it, then give your password then click easy installation.

    Oh, I was double clicking. See, IDK these things LOL. Actually I just double clicked this other version of kext helper and it popped up LOL

    Did I mention that it will give you some familiarities with installation and usage? LOL, now if you look at it, the whole installation wasn't that hard once you got into it, but at first it looks almost impossible....Good job on your part

    Yeah yeah yeah LOL. The first version was wrong.. funny thing is this version included the one that worked and the first one that didn't.

    Anyway, I don't have a password to enter to install kexts...

    You gotta be kidding me LOL, I backspaced my attempt at a password (tried "password") and before the button greyed out I clicked it LOL, now its greyed out again but it asked me to install hehe

    It should create one for you, your personal account, when you got to the welcome screen.
    Oh boys, there is a way to reset this password thing, but I need to do some research.
    Quickest way you can try is to pop you installation disk in, reboot and restart the process (don't install again) till you get to the installer screen, on the top under utility you will find a tab for reset root password (which is administrator-under windows world- password), then select your password then just quick the process, remove your DVD and reboot again, to see if you can use that password to get into kext helper (under OSX, every time you do anything to system files, it will ask for pw, just an extra security measurement

    ok, created a user pw in sys prefs. that worked. reboot time LOL
