No video for installer
Hello,
I am trying to install 10.6.3 on to my PC. I have a Giga-byte EP45-UD3LR motherboard, 4 GB RAM, and a Diamond ATI 4670 with 1GB DDR. I have tried to used the iBoot Supported cd as well as the iBoot ATI cd. I can boot the install disk and see the gray Apple logo, but when it should be switching to the installed the screen goes black and I no longer get any video. I had my monitor hooked up by DVI and thought maybe the installed only supported VGA, so I swapped cables and rebooted. again the screen went black. Any ideas what I need to do to get this working?

Have you tried to boot with option -x -v?
That board is one of the most OSX friendly you can get.
Should be able to boot VESA through installation. Have you searched for any problem particular to your 4670? May have to remove ATI kexts prior to installation, maybe?

I tried the -x option and that did not work.

I tried the HDMI output on the video card, and it works. How do I enable DVI and VGA outputs?

Are you able to finish the installation and get into OSX?

I was able to install OS X but I still only have HDMI output. The strange thing is if i disconnect my monitor from the DVI output the HDMI turns off. When I go to the display properties control panel it shows as being connected to the monitor, yet the monitor has a no signal message.
