New Build for Hackint0sh
Friends:
I'm moderately computer literate, and am looking to build a new computer as a hackint0sh.
What I'd like out of it:
1. The ability to upgrade to Lion when released
2. Minimal hacking required--not too many additional installs on top of the original OS.
3. Ability to play some games--I'm thinking I'll need a 512 MB video card.
I'm hoping not to exceed about $500. I have a monitor and peripherals, I also have RAM. I'd thought about getting an i5 processor. I got a tad stuck at which motherboard would work best, and which video card as well. A fancy sound card is unnecessary, as is a wireless card. Also unknown is the specifics for a case/cooling. I won't do any over-clocking. I also have HDDs, and like with RAM, I don't know if it matters that I have a specific kind. I think it's all DDR2, or maybe DDR3.
I live in Seoul, and have access to some very large computer markets. I've never done a build before, but am reasonably literate.
Thanks in advance for all who offer suggestions and help--it's greatly appreciated!
