Need some help with dell inspiron d530!!
I already searched this forum and the whole internet and didn't find a good anwswer. Here's what's happened so far.....
I download snow leopard(said it was 10a432 but was only 4.?gigs?) The tutorial on youtube said you can boot the disc(and install it then copy extensions) just fine and it did boot. That is until you get the warning sign before anything happens. Tried booting with -x -s and -v...
I also downloaded that boot 321 thing and everytime I try to boot my system with the disc in the drive it restarts.
Download gparted just in case and gets to where you startx and starts but can't see anything. I did try starting with 640x480 and 16/24 bit color and basically all default stuff. I could see the cursor for a split second then it would go away and not come back.....
Vista wouldn't let me shrink the volume to make room for osx(maybe because I didn't defrag first???)so I used a program similar to partition magic. It hung for 30 min. Basically vista installation and everything was gone..... CRAPPPPPP@!!!!!!! Its cool though because I actually back stuff up.
Anyway, I just need a way that actually works to install snow leopard on a dell dimension d530 really. I can't believe no one has tried to install it on one of these yet or has posted anything anywhere on the internet about it.
Some help would be greatly appreciated. I do have vista up and running again with 80g unallocated for osx. I only have one hard drive too. Thanks in advance!!!!!

1. 10a432 for 4+ GB is very questionable, and it should not boot/install on non-mac pc.
2. You could start by posting your hardware specs, relevant to OSX installation for help, perhaps.
