Exclamation Need help with the dell xps630i from H*LL to install SL

Hi everybody, i'm a newbie here...
Need help with the dell xps630i from H*LL to install Snow Leopard.
I have a dual boot xps 420 with win7 and snow universal running...
But my xps 630i is a mystery to me.... can't get it to work.
    Any advice?
I tried retail and hazard version but it won't install on the internal harddrive.
Who wants to help me? or has the same problem?
There not really helping on other forums...

    Tnx in advance!

    Hi,
I have the same problem but on different hardware.
    Is there any error message?
And which forums are you referring to? Not in hackint0sh.org?
I need to search for your system specs though.

Red face NEED HELP with DELL XPS 630i - install Snow Leopard on Internal HD

When I try to get it to install on a internal HD after a installation it says IOUSBfamily has trouble enumarating a usb device that has been plugged in - keep on retrying and then waiting for root device and it does nothing anymore....

I don't have anything plugged in and Snow leopard will install on a external hd.
    But I want it internal....
    Does not work : Snow_Leopard_Client_Server_10.6.2_SSE2_SSE3_Intel_ AMD_by_Hazard
Home cooked dvd does not work either

all other snow leoperd dvd's that are out on the market dont work on my internal drive

    My specs are:

    4 GB

For more info about my specs

BTW: not talking about this forum, but on insanelymac --- there not really helping out there... there telling me, if i don't know what i'm doing i should stop with trying.
But i allready installed mac on a sony viao with succes and a xps 420, there all dual or multi boot (ubuntu, win7, linux mint, leopard ) ... so it's not that i'm a newbie with mac on pc but this one is error just a hard one to crack... So any help is really appriciated... ;-)

Yes, I know exactly what you're talking about.
And you're doing very well getting that far. The version you use is the only one that has somewhat workable drivers/kexts, and that's is why it's installed.
I'm helping another fellow with the MCP67 chipsets. He did not even made it to the ext. hdd. And I stuck with SB400 which is very close.

What happen is there are 3 kexts for the south bridge chipsets and particularly its SATA controller, and they are: (from what I observed during testing)

    1. not working properly even installed.
    2. causing conflict between each other and KP.
    3. replaced with modified ones but not be able to get them to work yet.

Those are what OSX uses to control your internal hard drive, and without them properly working hence the waiting for root error.
For ext. configuration it uses other USB/bridge hence OSX could be installed.

Will update some information as I get a chance.

Red face Experience with a XPS 630i from DELL (or H*LL)

    I see what you mean, but i still can't find a solution... And i won't quit ;-)
I almost made it, when it skipped the iousbfamily error but i ended up with a kernel panic this time... appleintelcpupowermanager.kext so i removed it, to end up with the same iousbfamily error... (was so close, i thought... LOL i was just going in a circle)

Can't wait to read some more info from you!
BTW: does supernforceata.kext help for me or the superviaata maybe?
Don't know but keeping my options open ;-)
