    Post In need of help

I have a home built pc that I built in 2007 and I am hoping to make it into a Hackintosh. I have a few questions and would like to check that I have everything I need to make a Hackintosh.

    My system is as follows:

    ASUS P5NE32-SLi Motherboard
    Intel Core 2 Duo E6750 2.66Ghz Processor
    4Gb's Corsair XMS RAM (2 x 2Gb)
Creative X-fi Extreme Audio sound card
    2 x Hitachi deskstar 160GB HDD
    NVidia 9600GT graphics card.

    Hackintosh Software:

OSX 10.6 (Snow Leopard) installation disc
    iBoot 3.3.0
    Multibeast 3.10.1

    Q. Have I got the software I need or is there any other software I need to download too?

I have had a quick try to see if I can set up the bios on this system, I have read all I can find on setting up the bios but I am a tad puzzled that some of the settings are not available to change or not even present.

    Bios:

    Phoenix Award

Managed to change boot order so CD Rom is first and HDD is second, Couldn't change SATA control mode to AHCI as there doesn't seem to be a setting....tried turning Raid off but, no settings for AHCI mode appeared (Even after save & exit). SATA/IDE control mode also not available to change to AHCI, HPET support is enabled but greyed out so can't be changed, No HPET mode setting to change.

    Q. Is there a chance I need to flash the bios to get these settings or is there other settings I may need to change instead?

Tried iBoot to see if I could get anywhere. iBoot loads but when I insert the OSX installation DVD, didn't show as being read so I pressed enter to see what happens and showed a installer screen with an error that it couldn't find a driver for APCI. I wasn't expecting it to work as I wasn't able to set up the bios properly, but thought I was mention it just in case.

    Any suggestions most appreciated.

Another piece of software that can be useful is the Snow Leopard Combo updates as you will probably not have internet when you first boot onto your Mac. I have an Asus motherboard and the Snow Lepoared method worked for me with iBoot with just a couple of fixable issues. DONT TRY TO FLASH THE MOTHERBOARD WITHOUT FULLY TRYING THE NORMAL METHOD. Hope this helps
