I've looked on the list of compatible portables, and haven't found anything similar to my laptop. I have an HP dv7-3085dx VM188UA (Detailed Specs: Product Specifications HP Pavilion dv7-3085dx Entertainment Notebook PC - HP Customer Care (United States - English)).

Processor: Intel Core i7-720QM
Graphics: NVidia GeForce GT 230M 1GB

HDD: Seagate 500GB (ST9500420AS)

I believe these specs are similar to a MacBook Pro with the Core i7-620M and the NVidia GeForce GT 330M. I'm not too sure about my motherboard though.

I think it will work, the hard part is getting your LAN, card, wifi card and graphics to work on it. Jump into the water and let us know....
