Default My first Hackintosh, need help

    Hey guys,

I really want to try the Snow Leopard, been a Windows user forever and never thought this day would come. I was considering picking up a Mac Mini, and if I like it buy a Mac Pro, but I would really love it if I could try it without any large purchase.

I was going to pick up a Snow Leopard DVD tonight at Best Buy, but I wanted to see if this hardware would give me any problems.

Is a Hackintosh 100% compatible? Would I be able to run all mac software? Initially I want to use LR3 & CS4 and try out some iPhone development w/ XCode.

Does a Hackintosh run at the same speed as the mac equivalent, for example if you get a quad cpu box w/ 8 gb ram and raptor X drives will that run like a similar configured Mac Pro or does real mac hardware always perform better?

Here is the hardware from my last PC that I had and was planning on using:

    Gigabyte GA-EP35C-DS3R
    8GB Ram (Corsair)
    Intel Q6600 Quad Core
    2x LG DVD Burners (EIDE)
    WD Raptor X 300G Drive and/or WD Black 640G

Is there any functionality that wouldn't work? Will I have the ability to get QE/CL support and use Photoshop & Lightroom without problems?

Can someone point me to the best resource to guide me through this?

Anyone know if I would have any problems with this hardware?
Will I have 100% MacOS functionality using Hackintosh or are there things that don't work/reliably?
