You won't be able to use Snow Leopard since that's an exclusively 64-bit OS. You may be able to put plain ol' "Leopard" on the computer though. That had a 32-bit version.
Like many OS's out there OS X has a 32bit and 64bit version. And again like many OS's out there most of OS X's software is "32Bit Instruction Set" only. In order to run 64Bit on OS X you need OS X server edition from the Debian server Kernel. I don't know what runs on it, or how much it cost. But OS X is somewhere around $300 fresh, and 64Bit is never cheaper or easier to use. So... Sorry but you have fallen to MAC's infamous advertising, your OS X is 32Bit only.

I'd really like to know if you were able to get the missing things running (and details about how if so).
