Lifehacker method. Installer questions
I had several questions concerning the installer that stellarola created. I don't know if here or contacting him personally would be the best option for getting these answered, but I figured I would try here first rather than bother him.
#1. What all was changed in V3 of the installer? My current system seems to be working fine, and I believe I used V1 last time I reinstalled. Is there any real "need" for installing V3 if what I have now is functioning?
#2. I saw several forum threads where people were reporting problems with V3, are those problems still present? I remember one in particular being no video, but I believe I saw that, that came from using the HDMI output rather that DVI. Is this true? Is it stable enough to install?
#3. I'm getting a new set of speakers in a few days and was considering just using digital coax or optical to run my sound out. Do the current kexts support the digital coax or optical outputs on the UD3P or will I have to stick with the stereo output? I seem to only have output from a single channel on the board. I'm assuming that's normal though.
I think that's all the questions I have for now. Obviously followed the lifehacker article on installing Snow Leopard on the EP45-UD3P.
Machine Specs are:
Gigabyte EP45-UD3P
Intel Q6600 Quad @ 3.6ghz
8GB G.skill DDR2 800
Nvidia 8800GTS 640MB
Dual displays (both DVI)

I only read of the black screen/losing video issue. I already have Snow Leopard and all installed using the Lifehacker method. I'm mainly asking questions regarding the V3 installer and whether or not I should run it.
