Hello.

I am new here. I have been using Mac since 1989, and have no plans to change operating system. However, the macs nowadays are way too expensive compared to the PC laptops, and I am considering Hackintosh now that I need a new laptop.

I work with music and need something that can take a lot of RAM and is stable (and fast). I also need firewire and preferably eSata connection.

My questions:

1. What PC laptop do you recommend?

2. Can I expect this system to be stable? I do not want to be afraid of things crashing in the middle of a recording session. Just want to use my OSX applications on a platform that gives me the most power for my money. The main applications I use are: Digital Performer 7, Ableton Live, Reason, Sibelius and .G-Player.
