What does it say? Do you get an error or something?

No errors or anything. There's simply no internet even though i am connected to my network with the drivers to my usb receiver.

What brand of your USB? Is it a utility for driver/network?

    Thanks for helping.
That will be the next step if he can not connect, then he will need to look at the router.

    Alright, some more info.

    The usb receiver is a D-Link DWA-140.
I found some drivers that i transfered via usb to the OS X and succesfully installed it.

The program installed sees and connects to the wireless network, but for some reason the computer itself does not get ahold of the internet. F.ex i cant start msn, browse on safari and so on.
The built in wifi manager in os x does not see the network, only the newly installed driver does.

You may need to setup the driver/util for your wifi card, and most of them only work with open network.

Since you did not reply what utility/driver was installed, this is for the generic version.
Select your network, create/add to profile, set to default then connect.
It would mostly apply to open network as other modules/functions are not compiled.
