Installing OS X on AMD Turion Laptop
I randomly decided to have a go at turning my Toshiba laptop into a Hackintosh this morning, and have been at it all day. Having tried various loaders and isos, I found that an OS X x86, or whatever it's called, did the job, in so much that I could boot straight to the CD, format the laptop hdd with Journal thingy, install the OS, and watch it do it's thing.
On rebooting however, I hit the apple screen, then suffered an immediate shut down. No blue screen, no warning, just that click sound you hear on a sudden shut down and a loss of power.
So I tried booting into the hdd through iBoot, and EFI for AMD. iBoot loads the first apple screen, but doesn't get any further, and EFI takes a while to decide that it can't actually do it, reporting a kernal error.
Am I being stupid and missing something simple, or is there another tool I can use?
Thanks for your help.
you chose the wrong driver for the graphics card or network card under the custom install. If you even chose them. if not you need to choose your drivers manually.
