Default Installed Windows, Installed Snow Leopard, get blue screen when trying to boot SL

    Hi There,

I just recently embarked on my first desktop hackintosh build and I have hit a wall. Most issues I have figured out, but this one is confounding me completely. My computer specs:

    Gigabyte GA EX58-UD5 mobo
    Intel i7 930 processor
    EVGA GeForce 9800 GTX+ 512mb video card
    6GB OCZ Gold RAM (3x2GB)
2x1TB Western Digital Caviar Black HDD
    750W Corsair PSU
    misc. cooling/DVD drive/case/etc.

First thing I did was install a copy of Windows 7 on the top HDD (connected to the first SATA port) without the other drive plugged in. Worked fine, Windows is up and running, huzzah. Then, for installing OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) I pulled from a bunch of different sources, and ended up using this guide (basically a slightly modified version of a lifehacker guide changed for a setup just like mine):

    Gigabyte GA-EX58-UD5 Guide

with the latest version of Chameleon (2.0-RC4-r684) and the latest USB image from kexts.com for my mobo (v4.0). Now, I booted into Chameleon just fine and was able to format and install OS X on the secondary drive (now plugged in of course). However, once I restart (after being prompted do by the finished installer) and boot into Chameleon again and try to boot from the drive I just installed OS X onto, I get the apple logo on the gray background, the spinning wheel/gear thing, and then it changes to a pale blue screen and just hangs there. I let it sit for over half an hour and it didn't work. I tried re-installing (thinking something had gone wrong with the install) but that didn't help. I also tried safe mode and single user mode, same thing happens. I tried loading a specific graphics mode (1024x768x32) but that didn't work either.

Windows works fine and boots fine, even with the BIOS in AHCI mode, which initially caused problems but I got past that using the method described in a response to the commend by 'benraymond' here:

    Lifehacker Guide

So, basically, can anybody help me figure out what I am missing or what I did wrong that leaves me with this pale blue screen? I am of course happy to give any more information that would help. Thanks a ton in advance!

Brother, I had the same problem with iATKOS v7, but, with lucky, I discovered the solution. In my case, I changed my monitor cable DVI to VGA and worked perfectly! I believe there is other solutions as well, like change the video driver (kext) or something like that... It's worth to try...
