Installed successfully but have DVI to HDMI Issue with ATI HD4850
Hi,
I have installed Snow Leopard 10.6.8 fine on my hackintosh. Now what I want to do is have one monitor running on DVI and the other monitor going out of the PC via DVI to HDMI to a HDMI splitter box which clones the display of the second monitor for Audio Recording Purposes (I dont want sound being transmitted via the DVI so don't need to worry about that
) .
Now I had a HDMI splitter box that does this. I tried it on the new installed Hackintosh and it does a few things:
- It Doesn't work
- The Primary monitor (DVI) Works but the HDMI (DVI to HDMI) doesn't
- The HDMI (DVI to HDMI) works and the primary monitor (DVI) doesn't
I then took it to another Hackintosh with snowleopard 10.6.8 and it has the same ATI HD4850 card in it etc and it works straight away fine with no problems.
I tried moving the graphics card from the one that works to the new installed hackintosh and that didn't solve it at all.
What do you think this issue could be please?
Many thanks
Joe
