you need a 8gb stick and restore the dmg to it.
I haven't tried that yet but here's how you can install SL using external usb hdd.

    - connect usb HDD to working mac
    - create 2 hfs+ partitions on the usb HDD. Make one partition 10 GB and the other partiton as large as you want. Namethe 10GB partition SLInstaller, the other as SL.
    - restore the snow leopard dmg to the SLInstaller via diskutility.
    - Get the chameleon RC1 tarball
    - sudo dd if=boot1h of=/dev/rdiskXsY (where rdiskXsY is the SLInstaller partition)
    - sudo fdisk -y -u -f boot0 /dev/diskX (wehre diskX is your actual physical usb HDD)
    - copy boot to / for the SLInstaller
    - In the SLInstaller disk, create /Extra/Extenstions . Put fakesmc.kext, NullCPUPowerManagement.kext and other kexts that's needed for snowleopard

Reboot and hopefully you will get chameleon menu, select SLInstaller. If your system is compatible, hopefully you will get to the snow leopard installer.
Common problem people having is getting Kernel Panic before getting to the installer screen..

    Good luck

No worries. If you have no access to a Mac, you can always burn the image onto a Dual Layer DVD (8.5GB). Judging from your expensive CPU and RAM, I'm sure you have a dual layer DVD burner. A dual layer DVD costs around $1.5 where I'm from.

Hi guys and gals, this link has the most precise guide to install snow leopard that I have seen:

How to Build a Hackintosh with Snow Leopard, Start to Finish - Hackintosh - Lifehacker

And this one is the most precise for getting it to boot correctly:

[GUIDE] Retail Snow Leopard DVD install for G31M-ES2L - InfiniteMac OSx86 Community

If you can follow these directions you will have a fully working snow install that will update to 10.6.1
