Well, I'll try to give out all the info I can, and lets see if I can get some help
I've been reading alot about dual booting win7 and macosx. I downloaded iDeneb v1.6 (snow leopard) lite edition. I burned it into a DVD, partitioned my HDD ( 450 for windows, 150 for mac). I inserted the iBoot CD and then inserted the iDeneb DVD n pressed F5 to load it. When I click the CD, it just goes back, like a restart, (also typing -x before hitting enter).
Right now im downloading iATKOS s3v2, and I will try with that one.
I'm not sure if I am doing something wrong (which I think I am). I tried first installing with iBoot, but with a Retail MAC CD, and I got to the installation screen but it said ".... cant be installed on this computer..", but I dont know if with iDeneb's, or iATKOS, etc, I can maybe install it.
Oh, also, when I press F2 at startup, there is NO WAY to access the Sata to change it to AHCI or something.. there are just options like bootable way (hd, cd, usb) or time/date, etc, and I tried loading optimized defaults and nothing happens, I cant get to like the advanced settings of the BIOS.
My laptop is:
SONY VAIO VPCF136FM/B
- Intel Core i7 Q740M
- 1.73ghz (turbo @2.93ghz)
- Instrucctions: MMX, SSE (1, 2, 3, 3s, 4.1, 4.2) EM64T, VT-x
- 6GB RAM DDR3
- NVIDIA GeForce GT425M -1gb
- (on CPU-Z says) BIOS brand: American Megatrends Inc, Version R0180Y9
What iId like to know is, If there is a way to install MAC OS on this laptop, since I'm running out of ideas. Is there specific programs I should use? (if so, which ones). Any way I can get the list of pograms listed here, and a small guide (of less than 5-10 short lines)? So I can set up everything.
ok if your trying toinstall it natively to laptop your motherboard is the key chose what ever distro you want besides the retail version then like i said yur motherboard has to be fully compatable with osx86 video card and proccesor will work you have sse4.2 and the cpu based virtualistion but if you are just wanting mess around or even dual boot two opearting systems at once i would recomend using a virtual machine program so far best ive seen is oracle virtualbox 4.0.2 at virtualbox.org if you go the later route contact me at email@example.com cause it aint goona be 5 10 lines toget going ether way orther than that it is trail d errror remember apple went thourgh a whole hella lot trouble to stop us from installing on anything other than there expensive ass hardware

Reason: fogot part of two words
Well, I managed to install it on a HP dv6700 with iAtkos s3v2... Now I'm trying with my vaio (again), but when it loads the installation screen (where you choose the main language) I press enter and it freezes. Any ideas?
- Also, I cant move my trackpad (any ideas too? should I use a usb mouse and it might work?)
Oh, alsoooo.., How I can install the drivers needed? I mean, I insert the usb/harddrives with some drivers but the mac os doesnt read them.. So I cant find a way to install drivers, etc.
thanks in advance :]
