whats up guys this is my first post but im looking for some help.

So I'm using the retail snow leopard disk and I'm using i boot supported, i have to use -v -x to get into the installer but anyways when i start the installer it starts at 19 remaining and hardly moves at all. After like a half hour it will go to 17 minutes remaining but after about 45 minutes i get an install failed (which is still saying 17 minutes remaining). It says something about basesystem.pkg and "Memory Statistics for install failed pane" in the log. I searched online saying it could do something with my RAM (i have 2x2gb ddr3 ram). I tried installing with one stick and nothing worked so i tried installing with just the other one in & it still did the same thing. I have had snow leopard on this system before until i accidentally erased my drive. I have no idea what could be wrong or what to do. All help is excepted thanks!
