I was one of the many waiting for the refresh of the mac pros.... hoping for a possible reduction in price...... Oh well, now I am here. So I need a little pointing in the right direction. I see a lot of builds that have lower end stuff.... I am leaning towards building a higher end computer. My main interest is expandability. I need something that can take full advantage of everything on CS5 and use full 64bit technology. I am a die hard fan of Final Cut studio but also need a machine that can take full advantage of Avid since that is what my school uses. I was waiting with anticipation for firewire 3200 and still have a major hard on for it. So that is something I will need, at least 4 firewire800 ports since the 3200 will use them. I am hoping someone can point me in the right direction. I can't seem to find a decent and recent build. I also need to be pointed towards figuring out the difference between intel i7 and something a little more pro like the xeon 5680. I would like to build a beast for under 4k if that is possible. I am interested in any and all suggestions. Feel free to be ridiculous and jump out of that price range as well since I get a kick out of reading what I 'COULD' do!?!

Also I will be using a higher end GPU so suggestions in that area will help. My head is spinning with trying to figure out what stuff will be compatible with SnowLeopard.
