Default iDeneb doenst boot after succesfully installation

    Hello Guys,

I found out why it doesnt boot from DVD - I didnt set Sata Operation Mode to AHCI. Now i've done Installation succesfully. I was very happy now
Then, I booted. Still waiting for root device - it tells me when i boot with the flag -v -f directly after Installation. I've used the Voodookernel for AMD SSE3 and this kernel comes from Modbin.

    I've uploaded an Screenshot:
    - SCREEN!

    Before I forget: I have an SATA-DVD Drive, an SATA-Harddrive with 250GB and an 80GB IDE-Harddrive - I've installed on my 80GB IDE. I used iDeneb v1.4 10.5.6!

    My System specs:
(Take an look to the complete report of my specs!)
    CPU: AMD Athlon 64 4000+ (Instructions: MMX(+), 3DNow!(+), SSE (1,2,3), x86-64
    Motherboard: 939N68PV-GLAN
    Chipset: NVIDIA GeForce 7050 PV
    Memory: 2048 Megabytes

you need to find the right kext for your drive. ioatafamily or superviaata kext
or have you try to load in 32 bit mode (-x32) ?

    Unhappy

    Hello, guys.

I just registered an account on this board, because I'm trying to help a friend to get OS X on his PC. He's got the exact same board (939N68PV-GLAN) as the guy who created this thread.

We set SATA to AHCI, we tried to boot Snow Leopard using EmpireEFI 1.08 (experimental), but no success. We also tried the Hazard (10.6.2) distribution which worked well for me in the past. It just won't boot. Either it hangs with a DSMOS related kernel panic or it won't find any chipset drivers.

Then, we decided to install Leopard. I still had an old iDeneb 1.3 release laying around which installs successfully on his IDE hard disk. But once we try to boot, it just says "Still waiting for root device". We selected the same chipset kernel extensions the iDeneb DVD used to boot, so why doesn't it boot from the HD?

    It's an IDE drive, btw.

    Greetings from germany,
    NH
